Want a yummy alternative to mashed potatoes?
Try Garlic Smashed Cauliflower! 

What you will need:
-1 large head of cauliflower
-2 to 3 fresh garlic cloves
- 3/4 cup Plain greek yogurt 
-3/4 cup shredded cheese(I mixed parmesan and cheddar) (set aside a little to use as topping)
-1 tsp garlic powder
-1 tsp dried parsley flakes
-1/2 tsp butter extract (find in baking aisle)
-salt & pepper to taste

How to make it:
Wash, remove leave and chop cauliflower into smaller pieces. I place about 1/4-1/2 inch of water in the bottom of a large frying pan. Put on high heat and add cauliflower and add fresh garlic cloves to pan. Cover and steam for about 8-10 minutes or until it starts to get soft, but not mushy. Remove from heat and drain any excess water. (You can steam them in the microwave too, if you like)

Add steamed cauliflower and garlic to a bowl, add the rest of the ingredients and mash together well! The butter extract and yogurt make it taste super creamy and buttery, without all the extract calories and fat! This is will be a GREAT healthy holiday side dish ;)
Then, add the last bit of shredded cheese and serve hot! 

You could also add fun toppings like crisp turkey bacon bits & chopped green chives! Enjoy!
