Peanut Butter & Banana "Waffle-wiches"
I have to share what I made for my son's snack the other day... Not sure that waffle-wich was a word, but if not, it is now!!😍
Easy. Healthy. Kid approved. Yummmmy. {I taste tested to ensure 😜}. And a little more whimsical than your average sandwich!
What you'll need:
- 2 slices of whole wheat bread, or Ezekiel bread
-1 Tbsp peanut butter or any nut butter you like
-half a banana, cut into slices (about 1/4 inch thick)
I spread the PB on one piece of bread. Added the banana slices, spread out evenly on the bread. Then, top with the other slice of bread, like when you are making a normal sandwich. Then, I put the sandwich in my waffle maker for about 5 minutes!

Remove. Let cool for about 30 seconds. Cut into four pieces.
Voila. PB Banana waffle-wiches! 🍌🍞🍯

And endless possibilities of what to put in them depending what your kid likes! You could also make them savory instead of sweet-- with things like cheese and broccoli or chicken. 😊
Enjoy!
21 Day Fixers: If you make this, you can just use 1 tsp of PB. It would count as 2 yellow, 1 tsp, 1 purple!
