Mediterranean Turkey Burgers
I was getting bored with plain turkey burgers, so I created these yummy ones! Anything with feta is perfect in my book! :)
These are super simple and fast to make, you can bake them, but you could also grill or fry them in a pan!
What you will need:
-1 lb lean ground turkey
-1/2 medium white onion, diced small
-1/4 cup dry(not in oil) sun dried tomatoes
-2 tsp capers
-1/2 cup feta cheese
-1 tsp Italian Seasoning
-3 fresh garlic cloves, minced (or 1 tsp garlic powder)
-1 tsp dried basil
-2 tsp spicy mustard
-coconut oil or extra virgin olive oil
To make:
Add all ingredients to a mixing bowl. Mix well with your hands so everything is evenly distributed in into meat. Then, form handfuls into patties, I made 5.
Heat 2 tsp coconut oil or extra virgin olive oil in a large frying pan on medium heat, add burgers and cover.
Cook 5-7 minutes on each side, or until they start to slightly brown and are cooked all the way through.
I served with quinoa and sautéed zucchini.
